Caruma is a registered trademark established in 2006 which creates, develops and produces products mainly in the area of illumination. It also includes author’s pieces, limited editions and joint projects as well partnerships with different types of industries carefully selected under the criteria of quality and giving particular emphasis to “its know-how” and emphasizing the handmade process. Caruma works with a wide type of materials in the preparation of its pieces, especially glass, wood, composites and metals, having in mind environmental concerns and social issues. Caruma focuses on high quality of goods’ design and manufacture, while answering to the market demands by adding value to the products for exigent Portuguese consumers, whilst expanding the brand to the international market, having in mind human values and minimal environmental impact.
